The Ocean Laughs

I’m so thankful I live in Florida because one of my favorite places is the beach. I am often given the gift of an Annual Personal Art Retreat at a friend’s condo, just yards from the water. The space and time bring refreshment and inspiration to my soul. It is there that I read, meditate, experiment and produce works of art or ideas for the same. An excerpt from a personal journal entry brought this piece into being:

“I sat on the beach watching the waves and was freshly impressed with the ebb and flow of life and how changeable the ocean is and how it is always moving. It NEVER stops rushing toward shore. Then I personified the waves and I thought how they delight in being waves. . .crashing against the sand. . .foaming at the edge back and forth, back and forth. I thought they were “laughing” with joy at this privilege . . not obligated or getting tired of crashing against the sand. . in God’s plan, that’s what they were MADE for!”

It brought to mind Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”. I hope you have found the Work that God created you for and prepared in advance for you to do. It could make you laugh!
